[He's not particularly afraid of getting into trouble beyond not wanting to cause Beatrice worry. Besides, he likes the fact it's just the two of them up here.
And it finally hits him he's clinging to Oria quite closely and he lets go with a blush]
[ Oria laughs. He knows Sinclair wasn't actually scared, but his arm feels a little colder without him there.
... ]
Anyway, look.
[ Oria points up at the night sky. They're on top of a pretty tall building (they went through a lot of stairs and ladders), so it's easier to avoid the light pollution down below on campus ground.
But it's also why the stars are so numerous and bright, each one twinkling as if it's a wish in the sky. ]
[Sinclair looks up, and all thoughts about flustering disappear. His eyes are practically shining as he takes it in - even at his childhood home, he never got to see the stars like this, and their estate was fairly isolated from the rest of the town. Instinctively, he reaches out to take Oria's hand again. It feels like they're in their own little world like this, far away from everything else]
[ They're holding hands again, but it's so natural that Oria doesn't realize it's anything special despite everything. He looks up at the sky, watching the stars with Sinclair. Truthfully, he's not as sentimental about the stars. He doesn't understand what makes them so special other than sparkling dots in the night sky, but when he sees Sinclair in awe like this, he feels like he can understand--just a little.
He can't bring himself to interrupt this moment, so he stays quiet. Instead of the stars, he can only look at Sinclair. ]
[ Sinclair has never made it a secret that he was an incredibly sentimental person. Stars and galaxies beyond them had always captured his imagination and for a long moment, he's riveted. He leans into Oria briefly, and he smiles up at him]
[ Oria looks up. He's not very imaginative, so he doesn't see the point in constellations either, and why they're shaped the way they are. However, it doesn't mean he can't identify them. ]
The bear family is all there.
[ He points to the sky, wondering if Sinclair can see it too. ]
Yeah, Orion the hunter. Which means that big one is Betelgeuse.
[ Oria points to what he thinks is the second-biggest star in that constellation. For things like this, he'd know. Something about astronomy class elective that he didn't really pay attention to very much back then starts rearing its head at him as if to tell him "I told you so".
He lowers his arm, slowly turning his head to look over at Sinclair. He looks cute when engrossed like this. ]
I didn't know that one. [Sinclair knows most constellations, but he hadn't known the specific stars that made them up. He's focused on the stars, trying to map out another constellation, and doesn't notice Oria staring at him immediately]

[He'll just straighten up in concern. Sorry orange tabby, but he'll definitely be back with treats tomorrow]
no subject
[ Oria turns around to see... nothing. Hm? It was just there a moment ago. Was it a trick of the light? He looks back down at Sinclair. ]
You know that I think all the school legends are bullshit, right?
no subject
[Because uh. Sinclair gives the cat a few more anxious pats "I'll come back with some food tomorrow, okay?" and begins his climb up the ladder]
no subject
[ Oria watches Sinclair climb and climb... at least he waits for him this time. When he catches up, he makes his way to the rooftop. ]
But there's a stalker story!
no subject
[That is concerning. Sinclair probably isn't as strong as Oria, but he can keep up with the climbing without slowing down]
no subject
Yeah, it's like this dark figure that lurks behind you. People say it's the ghost of the founder to tell the students to go back to their dorms.
[ He laughs. ]
Or he'll shove them to the ground.
no subject
...um. Really?
[His gaze is frozen a little past Oria's shoulder]
no subject
[ Oria pulls Sinclair up and... the figure is no longer there. ]
What, feeling a bit scared?
no subject
[ Sinclair nervously inches a little closer, practically clinging to Oria's arm. He can't shake the feeling of being watched]
I swear I just saw someone again...
no subject
[ He gives Sinclair a very reassuring smile. Sinclair is worried about him and Oria is liking the feeling of being clung onto like this. Hmmm.
There really doesn't need to be any analysis. ]
If you start feeling uneasy, we can go back down if you want. This is the place where I usually do parkour stuff, jumping from roof to roof.
no subject
...no, it's fine. If you get up here often, it should be safe, right?
[Though he'll peer over the edge and back at Oria]
I'm surprised you haven't gotten caught practising here though.
no subject
[ He grins. Sinclair is so cute... ]
No one's gonna look up here.
no subject
You wanted me up here for a reason, right?
[He's not particularly afraid of getting into trouble beyond not wanting to cause Beatrice worry. Besides, he likes the fact it's just the two of them up here.
And it finally hits him he's clinging to Oria quite closely and he lets go with a blush]
--sorry.

Wow...
no subject
He can't bring himself to interrupt this moment, so he stays quiet. Instead of the stars, he can only look at Sinclair. ]
no subject
... thanks. For bringing me up here.
[ His heart isn't racing. Not at all ]
no subject
I'm glad you like it.
[ But he can't help but to feel a little sheepish from the way Sinclair looks at him. ]
no subject
Ah.
So he doesn't say anything else, tugging Oria so they can sit down on the roof and enjoy the scene. He's sure he can pick out some patterns like this]
no subject
If you wanted to do some stargazing, you could have just said so instead of pulling me down, you know~
no subject
[Sinclair laughs sheepishly. He lays down too, their shoulders and hands still touching as he studies the sky]
I didn't think you could see so many constellations from here.
no subject
[ Oria looks up. He's not very imaginative, so he doesn't see the point in constellations either, and why they're shaped the way they are. However, it doesn't mean he can't identify them. ]

That's Orion, isn't it?
no subject
