[ Cethin and Sinclair can just take a lax walk back to the dorms. The weather is nice and classes are over.
"C'mon, we can start walking back or I'm gonna say that admiring yourself in the mirror is what you got from Oreos."
He almost snorts, because Sinclair being that sort of person would kill him inside in many different ways.
"Anyway, about Satria. He and Oria have a super strained relationship. I think they're twins or something? But Satria got snatched and was raised by some random family called the Evelyns. Last I heard, that family ditched Satria too, and then he was picked up by someone. I dunno who that is, but they must be rich. Apparently, he has a history of violence in previous schools. Oria thinks the schools were bribed to take him in. I wonder if the same happened here..."
It sounds like it could be a possibility.
"Anyway, I heard all this from Oria, because on one of our outings with friends, Satria found Oria and attacked him on sight with a knife. It was so freaking dangerous and the rest of us thought he was some sort of serial killer. But after that, we didn't see him again... until now." ]
[Sinclair wishes he was the type to ignore uniform code, because he could sure use an oversized hoodie to hide his face in right now. He makes another face, but follows, listening to Cethin talk and explain it all. There are a quite few things Sinclair is hung up over, but he doesn't voice them.
The Severines were powerful; to let one of their kids get snatched and then flaunted in front of them is...odd. It meant that family had been more powerful? And why? What was the purpose of any of that? Sinclair bites his thumb as he thinks]
...so everyone knows he's violent and dangerous and let him come here anyway? And they put him in one of Oria's classes?
[Aaah, now he's really mad. That said, he feels a headache coming on]
...I wonder why I only just learned of this now. I...we grew up with each other. That's so...
[Unless the family didn't know until they hit high school?]
[ "Honestly, Sinclair... I wouldn't have known this if I didn't shake the info out of Oria when we got back from the stabbing incident. He didn't actually get hurt at the time, by the way. It's probably a family secret or something, but I made him tell me all about it, and if there's anyone that can make him talk about this again, it's definitely you."
Because they're childhood friends. Oria does seem to have a habit of not saying anything unless it's brought up by someone else, forcefully too. Perhaps that was his way so that Sinclair wouldn't have to worry about another problem that he has. Oria always felt that he had too much baggage. Unsuitable for anyone, only to drag them down.
"He seems to feel bad for him sometimes, but when it's not 'sometimes', he looks like he wants to kill him too."
[... Sinclair looks down, turning over those words in his head. He understands. Sinclair liked to be patient with Oria, letting him move at his own pace because he knows how much weighs on him.
But being patient like that was sometimes like letting them both run away, wasn't it?]
[Sinclair glances at his phone. Aaah. Ahhhh. Aaaaaaah. He's not ready for this yet. Give Oria an earful??? But that would imply it was Oria's fault for not telling him. Sinclair goes through his nightly routine and washes up in the bathroom first, careful not to jar any of the bandages and then reaches for Rein to hug as he goes through his messages.
There are...a lot. Rumors spread fast here. aaaah. Oria definitely already heard by now. He'll just call him, and hope he's free. Does he want Oria to pick up? Hmmmmmm]
Mm... there was this new transfer student. He's in most of my classes. He's not very nice. He was kind of going out of his way to make everyone really mad?
...she probably did. I hope she doesn't get into too much trouble either. [Who is he kidding...she definitely caused a big ruckus. Sinclair gives a little huff over the phone]
Why are you blaming yourself? You didn't start anything...[He frowns a little] Hey, when you're back...can you tell me everything? Cethin told me what he knew, but...
[ There it goes with the association again. Oria figures that Satria had leveled his elementary tactics to targeting people Oria is closely associated with. He already feels angry about the fight. ]
I hope you won't be too bored in the meantime. That's definitely a suspension in the works.
...ah. I did break his nose so that's a big suspension isn't it--[mentally, screaming] Oh no. Beatrice will be so upset...I hope it's not too late in Germany when they contact her...
[aaaah he's sorry big sister!! He tried to stay out of trouble!!]
I'll talk to her about this. It's the least I can do. I'll tell her to give me a call tomorrow.
[ Oria stifles his yawn but it can still be heard through the phone. ]
The business proposal didn't go so well, so I have to make up for it tomorrow. Shoot me a text if anything else happens... or if Satria tries bothering you again.

...I'll talk to him. Thanks, Cethin.

Now that they're in front of Sinclair's door, Cethin waves as he takes his leave. Later, man.
Is it time to contact Oria? Or maybe he should do his nightly routine. ]

Hello?
[ He sounds "tired but is trying very hard to hide it" sort of way. ]
no subject
Oria... sorry, were you resting? I can call back later.
no subject
[ It was a long day for him. ]
What's up?
no subject
Mm... I wanted to hear from you and see how you were going...[And... Sinclair pauses, as he tries to put it in words]
A few things happened today.
no subject
[ Tell him all about it, Sinclair. ]
no subject
Ah.
Ugh. This is...bad]
Mm... there was this new transfer student. He's in most of my classes. He's not very nice. He was kind of going out of his way to make everyone really mad?

[ There's a sound of something crunching. Oria is probably eating something. ]
no subject
[ Uuughhh]
He...I might have gotten into a fight? So I'll definitely be in trouble tomorrow. [ Mumble mumble]
...Oria...his name is Satria Evelyn.
no subject
Are you hurt anywhere? Are you okay?
[ And that's Sinclair's well-being because of course it is. ]
no subject
[ If he keeps the ice pack on, he can get some of the swelling down before it looks too bad ]
I'm fine though. Really. I was more worried for you.
no subject
[ A short pause. ]
Do I have to teach someone a lesson...
no subject
...there's nothing wrong with me. It's fine. Everything got patched up easily. [ aaaaah, why did he do this, and he can see Oria's evasive words now]
Don already got into a fight with Satria, you don't need to add to it.
no subject
[ There's a deep sigh on the other end of the line. ]
I'll thank her and probably bring something back. I hope she beat the shit out of him.
[ He sounds even more worn out despite that. ]
This is absolutely the worst timing. I haven't even been gone for a full 24 hours yet... I'm sorry, for getting you involved.

Mm. I will. Don't...don't worry so much about me, okay? [So Oria wont be coming back tomorrow then.]
I miss you...take care of yourself too.

[ He tries to sound chipper even with how drained he feels. ]
Good night, Emil.
