[It had taken Sinclair awhile to acclimatize to the nature of boarding schools but he had gotten used to the fact eventually everyone changed in front of each other without thinking. He's in the middle of unbuttoning his school shirt when he feels Oria's gaze on his back and he glances over.]
Oria?
[He's feeling a little awkward again for some reason]
No. It's fine. It's just a bit awkward when you keep staring...
[ He blushes a little more, but quickly changes into a much more comfortable shirt and oversized sweater. Oria was just out of it. That's all. He changes into a pair of soft jeans, and straightens his sweater]
Did you want to eat down there or bring up dinner to eat here?
[ Oria finally makes a move to get off the bed and goes to pick out a change of clothes. His usual style with the boatneck shirt is fine. He decides to leave the hat in the room, but he doesn't change yet. He only changes when Sinclair leaves. ]
[He's used to Oria not changing while he's around, so he lingers near the end of the hall while he waits for Oria to be done. He might as well check some of his messages...
One from Yuri, with a few questions about club activities. Another from a classmate, panicking about homework.
Nothing worrying. Some classmates were being weird.
[That sure is a bombardment of messages in a class group chat about Oria he refuses to answer. He doesn't even mark it as read, and closes out of the chat, in time for a private message to come his way: hey, emil, there's this girl in the next class over that wants to know if you're free on the weekend.
???
????????
Weird question. Beatrice was coming back to the country on the weekend, so he really wasn't and says as much.]
I don't understand where you put all that food sometimes. [Did Oria even have any sport classes? It's not like beating up bullies took up that much of Oria's time. There's a few classmates of theirs who are not being subtle with their staring as they walk up hand in hand to the coutner]
[ Oria sometimes does is parkour skating hobby elsewhere if not on campus. He definitely doesn't do it to show off, even though that's definitely a byproduct that's happening. ]
In my stomach, duh.
[ Though it's not like he talks about it and he goes out often, whether with other people or alone. Not to mention those meetings...
Then he turns to the staring bystanders. ]
Hey, if you're gonna stare more, I'm gonna start charging you!
[Sinclair knows about Oria's (terrifying gravity defying) hobby, but--
aaaah.
Sinclair covers his face with one hand, and promptly starts dragging Oria off]
Now they'll stare even more. [The bystanders are whispering now, some of them giggling, some of them deeply disappointed. Weird??? Whatever, Sinclair was used to this now. He places his order at the counter - one burger, fries and a drink. Not the most healthy thing, but once in awhile wasn't bad]
[ Honestly though, compared to what Oria eats, it might as well be healthy. He orders ten deluxe burgers (yeah), and a regular sized drink (surprisingly) and goes to sit at a table with Sinclair. ]
Beatrice is coming over, right? When was it again?
Hmm. [Sinclair is still working on his one and only burger...] I was thinking of lunch somewhere...but I was having a hard time thinking of ideas. It'll be her first time in the city too.
If she likes teacakes, I recommend the cafe over by the park. They got some new matcha stuff out recently. That metro diner got some new selections got lunch too and I heard it was tasty while giving you a good portion of food. They're having a dog therapy session in that park I just mentioned on that day too, so if she likes dogs a lot, she can play with them too.

Burgers do sound nice.

... I'm not sick.
[ He's not that warm. Just a tiny bit below average, but that's the usual. ]
no subject
I just wanted to be sure. You're usually more excited about dinner.
[Well, he'll get up again to change into something more comfortable. No more school uniform for the rest of the night, ugh]

All done?

[ Oria, for one, is glad that Sinclair has social groups for him to chat with. He figures that it's none of his business, so he just shrugs it off. ]
Anyway, five deluxe burgers are waiting to be devoured! Let's go!
[ Oria now zoooooms with Sinclair in tow, holding hands like it's normal. (It's normal, right?) ]
no subject
What happened to make it go from three to five?
[Absolutely nothing weird about holding Oria's hand. He's happy to hang on regardless]
no subject
[ and full of energy now? Somehow. ]
So I'm gonna eat seven burgers.
[ it keeps getting higher... ]

He sits down with his food, watching with trepidation at the burger stack]
Saturday. She'll be coming over around 10, assuming her flight arrives on time on Friday.

[ Tour of the campus? Botanical gardens? City market? ]
I can help if you need some ideas~
[ Two burgers are gone. ]

Mm. The cafe at the park sounds good. We haven't had a dog since Aitla.
[And now Beatrice was too busy trying to keep the family company afloat to even consider another dog]
Oh. That reminds me. She wants to know if you're free for dinner on Sunday too. She said she got reservations for three at this nice restaurant.
no subject
I'm free on Sunday! I wonder what kind of restaurant it is...
[ Then he starts rambling a list of them in the area. Five burgers out of ten are gone. ]

Oh, repeat that last one?
