They haven't earned jack shit worth of respect. All they ever do is talk about useless things for attention. Like teacher, like student. Rumor mongering fuckwits.
[ He wasn't exactly in a rush to leave the faculty office, but he's still following Sinclair. At least he isn't throwing fists at the teachers. ]
They should just fester in that mindset and burn in hell.
[Sinclair feels a headache coming on. Was this what they called rebellion for the sake of rebellion? He never felt thee urge to do that, so he's not sure how to handle this. Rumor-mongering? He hadn't heard anything like that from the staff here yet--]
B-But they didn't even say anything yet. [Aaaahhhh] They're still going to be teaching you for the rest of the year at least. At least give them a chance...
[He trails off and exhales softly]
This is the nurse's office. This is where you go if you feel unwell or you get injured.
[It's a spacious space, and a peek inside shows the nurse is busy patching up a kid that sprained their ankle playing soccer. Ah, time to move on]
They ruined their chances before I could give them one.
[ Honestly, Satria is already thinking of getting himself expelled from this place so that he can get away. He's seen and heard the faculty talk. It was to be expected, but he still feels disgusted. There's some sort of animosity he has towards people as a whole, it seems, instead of him just having a chip on his shoulder. It could very well be both though.
He doesn't say anything when they get to the nurse's office. Enjoy the brief moment of peace, Sinclair. ]
[ Sinclair glances back, his brow furrowing... but he's not inclined to fight on that point either. He's not good with whispers or rumors; people just simply didn't tell Sinclair things like that. Or he simply didn't have friends who cared about that, which suited him more honestly.
It was strange though, walking down the halls with someone that looked like Oria but carried himself in every way that was entirely unlike him. He's not chatty, because it seems like Satria would just get more acerbic and Sinclair wasn't going to give him any ammunition]
The library is here, if you have study hall or you need to pick up some books.
[A lot of people here didn't enjoy reading though...? Sad]
You've already seen the cafeteria and the shops, so, ah, I guess it's the sports grounds left? What subjects are you taking?
[Maybe he'll run into Yuri or Don and they'll save him...]
[ Wow, this generation is doomed! Though Satria can see himself in the library often for reasons in the futureāif he manages to stay here for that long, anyway. ]
My courses are geared towards Mechanical Engineering curriculum.
[ Tough luck, Sinclair. He's going to be seeing Satria a lot more than he probably wants to. ]
[ Oh. Sinclair isn't disappointed but he is a little nervous.]
Ah. So we'll be sharing a lot of classes then.
[ Except whatever fell at the same time as IB German literature, because Sinclair's one concession to his own interests was German literature, which fell on the same lines as most of the mathematics courses]
[ Yup, he's not interested in learning other languages, because that would mean he would have to talk to people. Ew. He would definitely be in Oria's math class during that slot. :) ]
[ There's almost a pause in Sinclair's movements as he takes Satria down to the sporting facilities. A lacrosse field, a soccer field, a gymnasium... there's a smaller side space for the fencing club and Sinclair waves at Yuri when he spots her taking a break. Satria doesn't seem interested though, so continuing on!! There's less people milling around now...]
They were my core subjects before I transferred here too.
[ Sinclair's nervous polite smile fades entirely and an all too familiar feeling flickers bright in him. Stop it, he tells himself. Satria is new, probably finding his feet, and the last thing you need to do is get worked up because he doesn't seem to have any tact at all]
... for someone who doesn't like rumors, you're really good at repeating them.
Everything I came to know of you was against my will for years because of him.
[ Not just in school, but even before he set foot in here from how he says "years".
Sinclair looks awfully easy to bully, but the way he dropped the nervous smile is something Satria notes. Maybe if he smashes the egg right here, right now, he'll show up. So he starts walking towards him. Ominous. If Sinclair doesn't get away, he'll grab him by the collar. ]
[ Sinclair doesn't move away, feeling rooted to the ground.
'For years'? What? Why would he even know that?
Satria grabs him by the collar but that only snaps Sinclair back to reality and he reaches up to grab that wrist. A deeply buried feeling comes back to life, and his expression darkens visibly. Had Satria continued to just hassle him, he would have stayed nervous and uncertain.
But bringing up his parents and then Oria in succession...?]
I don't know what you're talking about...but let go.
[ A boy with Oria's face, but different name. Hating Oria despite never having seen him. Hating Sinclair by association. The pieces are all there but--]
[ Perhaps if he had an ounce of sympathy or empathy, he would have understood that all of this would have confused Sinclair greatly. Satria is just saying what he says, and there's no way Sinclair would have known that.
Maybe? He's a smart cookie. He can probably figure it out. ]
[He thinks he understands why Beatrice kept pushing him to join the fencing club now. He had done it at her prompting, and because they had did a little of it when they were younger, and he had been okay at it, if not particularly motivated. Beatrice wanted him to be able to look out for himself, to channel all his buried anger into something.
He's not going to close his eyes and wait for someone to save him. Oria would, he knows. But it's people thinking he can only rely on Oria that keeps putting him in these situations. So without an answer, he swings up with a right hook - fast and hard - because he's angry]
Satria gets absolutely clocked in the face because he thought Sinclair was some jittery anxious stick boy that didn't know how to fight. He should have listened to his instincts the moment he dropped the smile. His nose is probably broken and he's definitely bleeding.
He doesn't wait a second before he launches his counter, which is an uppercut to the chin. ]
[Ow-- Sinclair's head snaps back, and he drops down...but he promptly uses that to tackle Satria to the ground and knock him off his feet. Sinclair is an avoidant person in general. But most of that was because he didn't like this part of himself. The angry, violent part of him that wasn't a good person at all]
[He tries to pull back for that one, but the punch still clips the side of his head, and it hurts too. He blinks back stars from his eyes, and slides to the side, dazed, clutching his forehead. Ah...blood...this wasn't good. Oria and Beatrice would be--]
You...you've been picking a fight from the beginning.
[ He kind of has a sinking feeling Satria might be...related in a way. But was that even possible?]
[Ex-scion...? Sinclair falls to the side, his vision blurring a little. But he's curled up, still ready to hit back at the next opportunity. Anger and frustration bubbles up in him]
...but I don't even know you. What could I have done to make you hate me so much?
That's for you to find out. You can live in ignorance and think that you're in the right otherwise.
[ Satria doesn't waste the chance to give Sinclair a good kick at the stomach, but if it's covered from curling up, he'll aim at the front of the legs below the knees instead. ]
[And that's what Sinclair had been waiting for, really. The moment the kick connects, he grabs Satria's leg and gives a vicious pull to knock him off balance once more.]
Being weird and cryptic doesn't help with anything--
[Aaaaah he's had about enough, his head hurts, his chin hurts, everything about this day was terrible!!
"Emil--!" A voice is calling for him from a distance. Oh, Yuri must have been worried, he thinks.
But ah. That's bad. Because in the team was...
"Ho! Sinclair! I see you have been cornered by a single most foul villain--!"
[ Even with the supposed distraction, Satria stays focused. He falls because of the yanking, but he tries to hit him with his knee somewhere. Anywhere, that seems painful. That and he brings a fist down to the side of Sinclair's head again. ]

[ Sinclair's expression flickers a little and he's a little more confused now than anything but also.
Ah, that. Those comments again
...
They never did stop did they?]
I see. So it was Oria you had a problem with this entire time.
