[Sinclair smiles, and reaches over to take Oria's hand, letting it anchor him]

It's fine for me to tell you on the phone...you have a busy day, right?

[He shuffles a little in his seat so he's leaning against Oria a little]

[ His hand holds Sinclair's and he sighs. ]

Yeah... but I really wanted to come out and see you before you left, even if it's just for a minute.

[ He squeezes his hand. ]

Safe travels, okay?

[It's ridiculous how much his longing has gotten worse. He nods a little and squeezes Oria's hand even more. At sea, he hadn't even been able to message Oria, so being back on land is significantly better. But still. Still...]

Mm. I'm glad you got to come out either way. [A tiny sigh] Maybe we'll get some more time off soon.

[ Time off... Oria already had so much time off that he actually has to makeup for all the time lost that he spent while recovering. ]

I hope so too.

[ He sincerely hopes for it. ]

I'm curious though... how do you feel about Demian now?

Demian? He's my friend. And I still admire him. That hasn't changed, I think.

[ Oria teases, lightly. Sure. ]

[ How is Oria still teasing him about this when they're dating?? He elbows Oria grumpily and sulks back to his drink]

I don't. I like you, remember? [ ...maybe it's a sign of growth if he just accepts he did have a crush, so Oria had less glee in teasing him for it.

[ Oria laughs and hugs Sinclair's arm. ]

What did he say to you when you two got off the ship? You looked pretty flustered.

[ He had honestly put it back out of his mind when he saw Oria again after so long. He offers Oria a sip of his chocolate frappe]

Mmm, that he was interested in seeing me without any shackles, free and bare. And that it looked like someone was waiting for me.

[Thinking. ]

...he always did have that odd way of speaking. He told me that before too, after my family died.

[ Oria takes a sip of the chocolate frappe. Yummy. It goes back to Sinclair. He can understand how that phrase can be taken in other ways, leading to Sinclair being flustered, and that would have triggered his jealousy again except for the part where Sinclair adds that Demian said that after his family died. Jealousy? Out the window. He's more alarmed now. ]

... What the hell.

Is it that weird?

[ He'll finish his drink. Look Oria, he finished everything on his plate for once]

Yes??? That's not something you tell someone after their family just passed.

[ What the fuck!!! ]

In fact, that sounds more menacing than it should be.

I don't think he meant any harm [ Sinclair is just politely baffled. Hmm, how to explain it] I think...he was trying in his own way to get me to keep walking after everything.

The way Sinclair claimed to be like Demian back when he wore the special gear in Fragment really doesn't help Demian's case. He really meant it when he said that he wouldn't give a flying fuck if anything bad happened to Hani, like the name when Hani's name was no longer in their possession.

But still, he doesn't want to argue. Sinclair knows who's good for him and who isn't (probably. looks at mithrun) and Oria doesn't want to be overbearing either. He also wants Sinclair to be free as free can be. ]

You know him better than I do, so you're probably right.

[insinning]

[ Sinclair relaxes a little smiling at Oria as he bumps shoulders with him gently. He really doesn't want to argue with Oria over Demian...or at all]

Mm. I'm sure if you had a chance to meet him properly you'd like him too.

[ Would he? He isn't very sure about that. In fact, he doesn't seem to match with the mysterious kind of person very well, because 1) he has to understand the person to even think of liking them and 2) he thinks it's cringe if it's done in a certain way and will break the immersion real quick to prevent Middle School Syndrome from spreading. ]

Yeah? I wonder. It's more that you'd like us to, isn't it?

[Ah, caught out. Sinclair feels sheepish but unapologetic ]

Well, it's not bad to want such a thing.

[ Two people he likes meeting and getting along with one another... who wouldn't want that? ]

I doubt I'll ever get to meet him directly though, since he seems to be really elusive. Hell, not even you meet him that much.

[ He's glad Oria understands. ]

[ So it made sense to encounter him at sea]

No promises, but I'll do what I can if we ever meet.

[Ah. Sinclair smiles and steals a quick cheek kiss]

[ Oria smiles and returns the cheek kiss. He's finished with his food after pulling himself away from the arm hug he was doing. ]

I'll miss you, again.

I'll miss you too. [This is too short. He looks down and squeezes Oria's hand again. He was glad they at least had that one proper night together before he had to leave but...hm] I hope it wont be too long until next time.

That would be nice. When we do, we can catch up too. But I imagine that we'll be doing that by phone calls instead. Hearing stories from you is fun.

[ So many wacky and interesting stories from Sinclair. It's never boring. ]
