POST CANON TRIPS WITH FLYNN: For bravestknight
[The world after Blastia was never going to be an easy one, of course. They had all committed to it, knowing very well there would be people cursing their names, with bitter hatred and spite. Even with the combined efforts of the whole world working together - Empire, Guilds and Aspio alike - there would be people who were angry.
And willing to use whatever they could to get back at the Empire and Guilds. Including Giganto monsters, apparently. Yuri shifts on his feet, sword at the ready as he watches the movements of the guards in the valley below. Somehow, this rogue group had managed to capture a Giganto to launch against Dahngrest and Zaphias. Whatever was the first target didn't matter.
Yuri and the rest of Brave Vesperia were here to stop it. And apparently, so was the Flynn brigade. He glances over at Flynn]
The Empire must be feeling really antsy about this if they've sent the Commandant himself to help deal with this group.
[A few years ago, there might have been barbed edges in there. But now, it was just warm amusement at the absurdity of it all. He should have known Flynn wouldn't be content to sit behind his desk while sending out his best knights to deal with this]
What were they calling themselves again?

It was surprising how many people wanted to sink their world with blastia instead of trying to convert everything over to mana.]
Or maybe I decided to take a vacation and tag along. Either way.
[Flynn nudged his shoulder into Yuri's as they walked along. When asked about the name of the organization causing the most trouble.]
Um...New Blastia Organization Boys...Or something?
no subject
You'd think for a group of ex-Aspio mages, they'd have better naming sense.
[How embarrassing. He nudges Flynn back in turn. That was rude, Flynn.]
no subject
He motioned at Yuri between them and then towards the other and held up three fingers.]
no subject
Three close by. Two walking back.
Easy pickings, honestly. Yuri wasn't worried]

Nice party you're all having here. Mind if we join in?
["G-G-Guilds! Knights! Sound the--urk!" Yuri slams an elbow into a mage's solar plexus, dropping him and grins at the others]
Come on, you can all do better than that.
[Ah--Yuri recognised some of these guys. Former Ruins' Gate. Now that blastia was useless for excavating. It made sense they'd join up with the mages]
no subject
[Flynn uses demon fang sending a mage tumbling.]
Or with me at the end of their lesson.
[He also seems very cheerful about what's going on. This is what he had wanted all along really, to be beside Yuri doing missions and taking down people that were a threat. Their positions just made it a little harder to coordinate.]
no subject
[Flipping out of the way and he promptly uses a raging fist to knock out another mage before he can get a spell off. Way too easy]
no subject
[Flynn sheathed his sword and wiped his hands off and turned producing rope from the bag he had stashed in the bushes. He quietly tied up each of the mages making sure they were firmly in custody before wiggling the end of the rope at Yuri.]
I definitely wouldn't mind if you wanted to have the first shot. That means I don't have to do paperwork.
no subject
[Yuri doesn't see anything wrong with that - Karol just fretted over money constantly for no reason. But hey, in the name of the Brightest Star in the sky and all. Yuri makes an amused noise as he takes the rope]
Should have known the Knights wouldn't be that generous for no reason. Judy'll be by soon to grab them. And we'll bring them back to Dahngrest. You can sort it out with Whitehorse from there, if any Empire big shots have a fit.
[Hm. Maybe this was a little too easy though. How did such weak mages cause such a ruckus?]
no subject
[Flynn would make sure of it actually. That was one thing that he had been cracking down on in the Empire; no stiffing the guilds of money. If there was a problem they could handle it like professionals and adults.
At Yuri's quip, Flynn smiles a small tender smile.]
I'll head back to Dhangrest with you because it's been too long since we spent time together. I'll head back to the Capital in a day or two.
[He would leave that to Yuri's imagination of what he meant. After all, that was part of the fun.]
no subject
[There's pleasure in hearing that, though Yuri is quick to stifle it. It would be a little uncool of him to be that pleased, even if it has been some time since he got to hang out with Flynn. No fault of either of them of course - missions kept them both occupied for long stretches of time. Repede prances up to them as they return to the clearing, Yuri cheerfully dragging the New Blastia Boys? behind him without any ceremony]
no subject
[Flynn points out amicably as he walks beside Yuri. He turns and looks behind them to check on the New Blastia Boys and sighs as he looks back to Yuri.]
Do you think we can make it back to Dhangrest by dark? If not, we will have to take shifts tonight watching them and rest.
[He wasn't worried about it, but it was still not something he was particularly looking forward to if it happened.]
no subject
[That wasn't really a problem, but...he glances at their dead weight and nearly sighs himself. What a pain]
I don't suppose you have a cage we can just stick them in for now lying around?
no subject
[Neither one of them wants to deal with their captives, but then they really don't have much of a choice do they?]
I guess there's no point in staying here any longer if we want to get back to Dhangrest at a reasonable time.
no subject
[Anyway, so Flynn doesn't get any ideas to tease him with, Yuri nudges Flynn lightly and points ]
Judy and the boss should be back there, waiting for us. I think they bad a fun time raiding those labs.
no subject
[He still going to tease him. He looks at Yuri and nods as he turns going that way.]
Let's go meet them and make sure that everything is completely wrapped up.
no subject
[Time to cut themselves off though. There are some jokes that are not meant for Karol's innocent ears. Yuri nods, waving them over as he drags along their prisoners to an excited looking Karol. It looked like Judy and Karol had a lot more excitement than them, judging by the monsters everywhere]
We've got prisoners for delivery. Your next command, boss?
["Yuri! Flynn! You did it!" Karol grins, then straightens up, coughing as he tries to summon some boss-like energy. "Um. I guess they can go on the ship. I don't think Judy and Ba'ul would mind...Harry Whitehorse said we just need to deliver them to the cells and Altosk would take it from there."]
no subject
So, let's go back to Dhangrest. I'll send a report back to His Highness Ioder when we arrive.
no subject
[ Is Yuri a little pouty they missed out on a good fight? Maybe. He waves Flynn to follow as he drags the prisoners onto the ship, tying them to the pole and settling in for what would be a very quick ride back.]
no subject
[Flynn plans on staying with him anyway. He brushes past Yuri and gives him a meaningful, small tender smile as he goes to check on the prisoners and get them settled.]
no subject
[ Not much has changed at all. They needed to be at the center of guilds so new recruits could find them and missions could be picked up easily]
no subject
So, I can share your room?
[He lowers his voice so only Yuri can hear.]
--and your bed?
no subject
Hm. If you're not going to complain about the tight fit...there might be room.
no subject
[Flynn tangles their fingers together and holds his hand quietly as they fall into a nice simple, comfortable, silence.]
