Well, we did! We did so much work.

[ Hugging like this is uncomfortable, so Oria sits upright and pulls Sinclair over so that he can face him as Sinclair sits on his lap. Hehe. ]

Honestly, one of the good things that my family got out of the incident was looking into the extensive experience of virtual reality and funding someone who can try recreating it for our purposes. We are soooo poaching, but CC Corp is dead now, so who cares, really?

[And here he thought Oria was going to be sick of virtual reality like everyone else. Sinclair gives a tiny squeak of surprise as he's pulled over, but settles himself on Oria's lap, adjusting his arms so they're wrapped around Oria's shoulders]

Ah, so you did make use of all those servers after all.

Of course I did! That was the point of me playing the game in the first place! Your company wasn't the only one.

[ Well. The first prioritized reason, at least. The second was just because he wanted to play a cool new game for beta testing. ]

So it worked out for us in the end. The fact that we got to destroy the physical servers was a big plus.

Mm. Hopefully nothing like that happens again. [Two months recovery was hellish enough. His company was working on their own training simulator based off the data recovered, but...ughh]

Maybe I should ask your workplace if they're interested in working with us.

[ Is that a joke? Or is he serious? Regardless, Oria seems pretty happy with himself. ]

[Sinclair snuggles into Oria a little more with a tiny satisfied huff. He doesn't doubt his workplace would be interested, but, still. He kisses Oria lightly]

[lol. well, he can tease her a bit too if he can get away with it. He sighs a little, resting his head against Oria's neck]

It seems like everything keeps moving quickly.

[ Oria rubs his back a little. ]

Yeah, time is always moving fast. It'll get even faster when we get older.

[ But will they live to be older? Oria hopes so. ]

[He snuggles into Oria a little more. He wasn't tired, but he feels warm and content when he's with Oria like this]

Yeah? No wonder the old fogeys look like they're in a rush all the time.

[ Vindictive grin as always. Oria is satisfied when Sinclair snuggles into him some more. Apart from the environmental things that cling onto him, Sinclair always smelled nice when they cuddled like this. His body relaxes. ]

I feel like I don't have enough hours in a day to do everything I want. I'm not the kind of person to stay up late or wake up incredibly early either. I think my schedule is pretty normal in that regard.

[Sinclair nuzzles a little, breathing in Oria's scent happily. He likes Oria's scent; it's comforting, especially now that the hoodie he took from Oria no longer smelt like him.]

...you know, that was probably the more surprising thing I learned about you. You have a really standard sleep cycle even though you've been involved in all these business dealings since you were a kid.

[Sinclair had tendencies to want to push until later...]

Having a good amount of sleep is important for a variety of reasons, but the most important thing is keeping myself stable, and I can't do that if I'm irritated by sleeping too much or being out of it if I lack sleep. I do a lot to keep myself healthy and it helps me pace myself.

[ The time in Fragment was wild, because he lost track of his internal biological clock and all the mental interference was quite something. He's so glad to be back in control over his own body. ]

That's why whenever I hire people, I'll never let them forsake rest or force overtime as long as they bring good results. People need a work-life balance.

[Oh...he probably shouldn't let Oria know about how many times he's stayed up all night working on something. Oria probably already has an idea but...

Sinclair looks up at Oria a little fondly and gives him a little cheek kiss]

Mm. So this is your work-life balance?

Yeah. It's been pretty great for several years, so I don't see it changing. Being in university will probably alter it a little, but I'm not going to compromise on activities that's meant to keep my health in check.

[ He sure figured it out when he was "asking" for Sinclair's PTO to his company. Don't worry about it. It's the same method he used to find out everyone's real names and addresses to gather them for the reunion party. ]

[Sssh. Sinclair isn't a workaholic...he's just anxious about leaving work done poorly (and saying no).]

Mm. I'm glad. [Nuzzling back in] Otherwise we'd have even less time together.

[ If Oria was more unreasonable, he'd be jealous of his anxiety from how much it seems to be clinging on him. Shoo!! ]

I'll definitely make time at least once a month. I really wanted to do once a week, but I remembered that you travel a lot and I have to go to places too. That would definitely be difficult to schedule around.

Mm. It's a pain. [Sinclair wants to see Oria more than once a month? Ugh...He frowns a little, thinking, fidgeting a little with his tassel earring]

...well, with my schedule, it wouldn't be too bad to ask for several days off at a time.

[If Oria could work with that...]

You pretty much used up all your PTO for the year, haven't you?

I practically had to force it so that you could come to the party.

Look... if I could do it for others and even for schools in foreign countries, I can definitely do it for you too.

[ Oria huffs, a little pouty. ]

Yeah, but my company is weird and we all know it.

[Sinclair laughs at Oria's expression and leans in to kiss him again]

[ Oria was about to say something, but then he's kissed. After the kiss is done, he huffs again. ]

This is the bare minimum that I should be doing. But you're welcome.

[That tsun is so cute... Sinclair grins and kisses him again]

[ Sinclair the kissing fiend... Oria returns the kiss too, but makes it short. It makes him wonder if Sinclair wants to make out on the bed. The position is pretty presumptuous enough. ]

[ He says it in some haughty, valley girl tone and laughs anyway. ]
