[But what Oria had done had helped Sinclair feel more at ease. His cheeks colour a little and he thinks only Oria could get away with saying something like that. It's the part of Oria that's effortlessly cool. He glances at the food, then at Oria's portion and laughs, distracted from earlier]

You really were starving after roller skating.

What do you mean? This is my normal portion!

[ Truly, family-size in America means "a portion for me alone". But no, Oria is just abnormal in this way. He really was hungry after some skating and this is a nice way to recharge. ]

You want some of mine?

[Because Oria is almost always hungry??]

I wouldn't mind trying a bite.

[Sinclair quite literally means a bite. There's no way he can eat more than what's on his plate - the portion sizing was massive? Why? At least the gelato coming out later would be lighter...]

[ Oria gets a small spoonful of the carbonara pasta and holds it out to Sinclair. ]

Say "ahh", dear~

[ Absolute falsetto. ]

[He totally forgot Oria liked to do this. He's blushing as he takes a bite of the pasta, and shoots Oria a look]

You really don't need to feed me...especially like that.

But I want to!

[ He really does, even if it's for teasing poor Sinclair. ]

When will I get a chance to otherwise?

[Sinclair is unfortunately weak against Oria, even if it means putting up with all his teasing.]

I think you just enjoy teasing me too much in public.

[But he does take a spoonful of his own pasta to let Oria try too. Fair's fair]

[ Oria leans in and takes a bite. Mmm. ]

The food's great. Oh, do you wanna know a secret?

[ His eyes light up a little with the usual mischief. It should be very telling to Sinclair. After all, he's seen this many times. ]

[That light definitely makes Sinclair feel a certain amount of trepidation. Does he really want to know?]

A secret? What is it?

[dissimulative]

[ Oria leans in with a hand off the side of his mouth like he's actually whispering. ]

I like teasing you regardless of location.

[ That's no secret, but it is what it is. Oria happily leans back into the chair and resumes eating his pasta. Yum. ]

Sinclair calmly balls up a clean napkin and throws it at Oria's forehead]

I knew that.

[ Oria laughs even as he's hit on the forehead. He really deserved that, so that's why he didn't bother to dodge. He does catch it before it falls onto his food though. ]

I love you.

[ And his reactions. ]

[Urk. Sinclair pouts a little as he stuffs his mouth with some more pasta. Rude]

Mm. I love you too. Even if you feel like you should tease me all the time.

[ Oria snickers, though he just keeps eating. ]

I feel comfortable enough to do that with you, among other things.

Mm, so I should feel happy. [Sinclair struggles with his own amusement, and eventually holds up another spoonful of pasta for Oria to enjoy. Ah~]

I dunno! I don't get to control that.

[ He leans in to take a bite. Nom. Then he eats much more of his own. ]

But I would be happy.

[Sinclair laughs, leaning back to eat his own food]

Mm...then I really can only complain enough to make it fun.

[For both of them]

[ Oria's grin widens. ]

You're really the best, ever.

[ In his joy, he finishes up his entire plate of calamari quickly. Yummy. ]

[Why is Oria so cute...he can't ever say that aloud but]

For you, sure.

[Bye bye calamari. He'll keep eating his own pasta at a more sedate pace]

[ Oria fakes a surprised gasp. ]

For me?

[ He laughs. ]

Man, I really don't want this date to be over. It's so fun.

[Sinclair grins, his expression growing softer]

Mm. It really had been too long since we got to have a whole day like this to ourselves.

[And there had been zero interference or weirdness from anyone around them. It was too much fun to rest]

Right? An entire day to ourselves and no one coming to bother us.

[ Which, Oria thinks, is a pretty good occurrence considering who they are. ]

It makes it feel like we're the only two here in the world.

[Even though they had been around people all day - the skate park had been especially busy - it really had felt like that. Since they both had been surrounded by people at all times, getting a chance with only each other was a precious thing]

Yeah. I'm really glad we were both able to get this time together.

[He's a little wistful as he has to admit]

I really don't want to go back to my hotel room at all.

Well, if you don't want to, I'm sure we can go somewhere else~
