[Sinclair looks over in surprise. Sure, he had checked his weight in his final round of medical examinations but Oria wouldn't know that.

[ An educated guess, but still a guess. ]

Anyway, you won't squish me because I know you won't jump off the half-pipe.

[ Oria goes ahead, skating down the half-pipe and turns back around at the center. ]

That's not wrong, but--

[He's not afraid of falling, but he really doesn't want to crash into anyone either. He waits for a few seconds to ready himself and goes down after Oria, not nearly as effortless but at least he's not picking up too much speed or crashing.
That was actually a little nerve-wracking]

[ Oria holds Sinclair's hands as some sort of reward. ]

You have a good degree of control already. I'm impressed.

[Sinclair grabs Oria's hand in relief, exhaling slowly as he leans in.]

That was a little scary. Fun. But scary.

[ Oria wants Sinclair to list some, but he's also teasing, considering what one of them might be... ]

[ Oria laughs after seeing a bit of pink on Sinclair's face. ]

You don't think about anything when you read books?

I do, but it's not the same type of thinking.

What do you mean? Is it like the kind of thinking that puts you in the zone like with that one book you were obsessed with back in Fragment?

[ Never gonna let that go. ]

Mm, like I'm lost in a different world. [OH] Actually, you know I found a copy of that book at a second hand store?

[ Hmph. Oria still doesn't see what makes that book so special to Sinclair. ]

Yeah, that's true. I'm still glad though. [Sinclair leans into Oria and takes his hand. Oria is lucky Sinclair didn't bring the book with him for some light reading] A few more rounds around the park before we go shopping?

[ Honestly, if someone brought a book to their date, Oria would probably be offended because that would imply that the date is so boring that you'd rather read? Hello?? Insulting.

He firmly holds his hand. ]

Wanna race some laps?

[Reading is for long commutes, Oria!! Commutes! Like the plane ride over where Sinclair was deeply worried they'd all be banned from the airport. He grins]

Sure. What's the goal?

First to run three laps around the park wins! Touch that pole for it to count as a lap.

[ He points to a streetlamp pole over yonder. Pretty easy, right...? ]

You ready?

Ah. Ready. [How fast can Oria go...?]

Ready, set--go!

[ Oria zooms. He doesn't need to ramp up speed for too long either, since it looks like he knows how to do that well without tripping. It's a pretty important skill for him to ramp up speed quickly because he needs to get from place to place. He even kicks off the fence from the side to change directions and nyoooom. ]

[ Sinclair yelps and nearly trips as he tries to speed up as he skates after Oria]
